A Pheidippides Forum Skin Attempt, in Progress

As in, /very/ in progress. I just finished what I believe to be all the buttons that go in front of forums and topics. As you can guess, I'm aiming for a green skin. If I missed any buttons, please let me know, and be sure to let me know if I should pursue this.
Yes, I know the faded buttons aren't rounded like the regular ones, but I didn't realize until I put this bit together and I'll fix it before I post any more progress.
Well, what do you think? Is it worth a shot?

Definitely worth a shot, apart from the green Xo
Imo, if the gold went above the image rather than below, and thwumps were used instead of elongated drones, it'd be perfect imo.

The elongated drones are supposed to resemble a mailbox, which is why the seeker drone is the "New Posts" icon. I'll try to make those look better.
And I tried the gold on top, but it looks worse. I'll have to try something else for a Replied topic.

It's a good idea, but unfortunately the maximum size for these icons is around 16x16, so these are going a little on the large side. But yeah, I like the idea.

Good idea, but how do you have a replied tag for something you haven't read? Good mailbox idea, though, pretty clever.

Well, both skins we have now have these icons at a bit more than 25x25. I'd want to make these icons smaller, but the N graphics don't like to be shrunk, so 50x50 seemed like the smallest possible size. I don't think they're intolerably large.
To answer Brainwasher's question, the replied icon stays with a thread even if new posts arrive in the thread. So if you reply in a thread, then someone else posts, and you haven't read that post, that's where those Unread-Replied icons come in.
Anyway, Forum Buttons v2:
First, I fixed the un-rounded Read icons. I also made the drones look more like mailboxes, since you guys seemed to like that idea, and I changed the reply icons to have a gold border instead of an added gold piece, which I couldn't really fit anywhere. What do you think?

I feel that they're larger than necessary, but the concept in them is good.

Just fooling around in Photoshop, I used Image -> Resize -> Image Size, and shrunk the buttons to 30x30 just to see. They didn't look terrible, but they didn't look great, either. Does anyone have any recommended methods for shrinking the N graphics? Or any other images that don't like to be shrunk, for that matter. I'll do what I can to cut the buttons down to size if someone can explain how I can do it without hurting the quality of the images.

Try zooming in on your document and checking out how they're drawn by pixel, then redraw them and shrink down the proportions. They'll look "cute" then.

The second version is nice. Very simple, and the mailboxes are just fantastic.
