Could someone recommend to me a fairly inexpensive but still decent drawing tablet? I'm getting back in to imaging.

I like the Bamboo from Wacom so far. $80.

Bamboo is also what I suggest for something inexpensive. For something higher-end for professional-level stuff, I suggest pad, paper, and really good scanner.

It depnends on what you're making. For my comics, I use Inkscape. But, that's just me.
