Wallpaper Site List

We all look for new ones and many of us have spent quite some time looking for that perfect wallpaper. We should all help each other out and compile a list of good, free wallpaper sites. Please include description and image resolutions available, (widescreen or not, up to a certain res, etc.). I'll start with a few. I'll keep adding them to the list as you post them. Happy hunting!

Great wallpaper site that features mostly nature, landscape, and photography for images. Offers a generous selection of abstract and various wallpapers. Provides a plethora of resolutions, from iPods, full HD, dual monitors, Android, etc.

deviantART

Huge collection of wallpapers made by anyone who wants to sign up. Great for finding obscure and unique backgrounds. You can find any kinds of images here. Resolutions depend on the author/creator of the work(s).

CarWalls

Has almost every car manufacturer listed and has tons of pictures of cars. For the car enthusiast. Also offers a lot of resolutions, including most standard ones from 1024x768 up to 1920x1200.

Desktopography

Lots of natural and surreal landscapes. Wallpaper size varies, but most are available in the standard 1024x768-1280x1024 and many offer wide-screen options as well.

Tons of images sorted into categories from 3D to World. Also has wallpapers sorted by resolution.

Fairly large featured pictures of all sorts from Wikipedia / Wikimedia Commons with an aspect ratio of 4:3 or 5:4. Shout out to ortsz.

Wallbase
Wallbase.net can simply be described as a searchable wallpaper database, and it strives to be little more than that. It is powered by an image+metadata scraper which pulls images from 4chan's /w/, /wg/ and /hr/ boards. The script then takes the raw parsed data (post title, img title, text), does some processing on the images, and indexes everything in a MySQL database. Thanks, heatwave!
