As math it's impressive, but as art I don't think it's appealing at all.

Oh my god, this is incredible. I've always been fond of fractal art in two dimensions but the way things open up here makes my jaw drop. Bookmarked.

Yeah, this site is absolutely nuts.

(The link you posted for your background is 404'ing, though.)

That hollow cavern-ish one was unfuckingbelievable.

EDIT: Make that the whole site. Great find. Love fractals.

Wow. I'm already a huge fan of fractal art, and this just blows my mind.

Friggin' thanks, dude.

Very nice. Two thoughts

Sort of reminds me of that bit in Watchmen where Dr Manhattan is on Mars and decides to build a genuinely pure creation, he makes that giant castle/machine/whatever it is thing, just the endless intricacy of it is a similarly mind blowing concept.

Has anyone ever seen those 3D printer things. You get them in some universities and they use like a resin to build up any shape you can model in 3D. I know it slightly defies the point because it can never be infinitely accurate but if you got a really good massive one of those and used it to create an actual tangible physical sculpture of one of these fractals to use as a public sculpture that would be an amazing thing to do but you'd have to wait a few years for 3D printers to get that good.
I am become death. Destroyer of worlds.

I think it's cooler that way. No, I don't know and don't want to find out.
