Thus, from the war of nature, from famine and death, the most exalted object which we are capable of conceiving, namely, the production of the higher animals, directly follows. There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.

The only games I have played under this genre are Age of Mythology and C&C Generals: Zero Hour. Not a huge fan of it. </my2cents>

It's been forever since I did any serious game playing, but it's one of my favourite genres. Age of Empires II will forever be the gold standard.

It is not. He is, in fact, entirely serious about your mother.

I would understand it if number 2 was E but this is just madness!

Dune 2, Dune 2000, Starcraft, Starcraft II, Total Annihilation, Supreme Commander.

I've tried to get into Age of Empires sort of after the fact but never quite been able to to the same degree as I was/am involved with the aforementioned.
