Final Fantasy XIII

I am between 30-40 hours played so far on this game, and I can safely say that I love it. It took me a few hours for the game to suck me in and hold my attention, but now that it has, I am with it to the end, I suppose. Now, I have played a fair few Final Fantasy titles in the past and funneled quite a lot of my time into them, and this one IMO lives up to the best. It certainly doesn't surpass any, but it does a great job of trying.
It appears to me that this game is not so much an attempt to continue with form, but to experiment with possibilities in elements of a game. The story telling is non-linear, like other FF games, granted. But other aspects, like the visual effects, the combat system, the linearity of movement and exploration (which I had no problems with at all), the economy (once again, I found complaints by many, but I didn't mind it) push ideas in different directions, which is a good thing.
I have read and heard many gripes about this game from many people, and being a person who loves it, I would love to hear if anyone around here has played it, and indeed what they think/though of it.
