1st Annual Coin-Flipping Tournament

The Setup: A ladder tournament involving as many people as interested, with occasional three-way free-for-alls to smooth out odd numbers of participants.
The Game: In each battle, opponents flip a coin 100 times and count the number of times it lands on heads. The player with the highest count of heads is the winner. Each competition is best of 3, which means there will be 2-3 rounds per battle.

(Inspired by tournaments for games such as Monopoly, Quadradius, online poker, and other games which definitely have anything at all to do with the players' skill.)

Anybody unaware of my luck particle is about to get fucked.

Anyway, there is definite strategy in Quad, Tsukatu. If you don't realize that, you are probably not very good at the game.

I like to watch Two-Up games held at the bars on ANZAC day, so hopefully I picked up a little skill from that. Count me in.

By the way, how are the scores going to be moderated? What stops someone saying they got 75 heads when they only got 60? Because I don't think an honesty system would be the best way to go.

Well hopefully people aren't too lame to lie about that stuff..

You could just use a !coinflip script on IRC to do it for you, which would mean you can't lie about it because it'll be in the IRC logs.

And the chance of getting 75 or more heads in 100 tosses is 0.000000281814, so if someone claimed to do that, I'd probably kick them out.
