I hope they mix it up a little, it looks very familiar (perhaps too so). The first game was (is) great, but it did suffer a little from some awkward mechanics and stuff, and some of the environments were repetitive.

I'm just hoping it's not all generic ship setting all the time, or that they've just upped the graphics and added new items.

The sequal should be even more amazing or it is a waste.

Refinement PLUS new things.

Not just superficial enhancements either, twisting mechanics slightly to give it a fresh appeal and maybe even removing things entirely with bold progressions.

This is what I hear Mass Effect 2 does so well (even though it's split the camps).

It takes place on a super-station. I guess he can now fly. And they've added enemies, weapons, and multiplayer.

Hey, I don't know if the first game had (has) such a feature but it would be awesome if they made a survival mode, the bloodthirsty aliens would keep coming and it would be even more awesome if you can submit the time you survived to a online highscore board.

Just an idea.

Ehhh... this isn't that kind of game I think. The suspense comes from having to progress the story while at any moment A FUCKING GIANT MONSTER MIGHT POP OUT OF A FUCKING VENT AND KILL YOU. This suspense is kind of lost if you have your back to a corner and are waiting for them.

Well, it can be vice versa. If you stay in a room / area / bathroom / etc. for more than X seconds, you die. Although you should travel around the ship (or the map(s) given for the survival mode) and while traveling around, you should be always aware of what's going on, or BAM A FUCKING GIANT MONSTER MIGHT POP OUT OF A FUCKING VENT AND KILL YOU. The point is you shouldn't wait for them, they should wait for you to come, and the difference from the progress story is that it is the point to stay alive, not to complete the missions or go over 'there'. (you know what I mean)

It's just an idea, opinion.

Oh man, I loved the first Dead Space. It also showed us that EA was finally turning from their old ways and pumping out original IPs along with Mirror's Edge. I can't wait for the second installment.

I was a little weary of the changes, but everything looks great.

I'm guessing those puking fuckers have vomit that attract other necromorphs. Like the game wasn't hard enough before.

I never played the first one but this looks a bit like Left 4 Dead.
Amirite?
