World Of Goo

I found out about this game from a friend, and was immediately hooked. It's a physics-based puzzle game where you build your way to the objective using these goo balls that can connect to each other. It's incredibly fun. 2DBoy has put a demo of the game consisting of the entire first chapter (there's 5 in the full game) on their website here. If you haven't played it, it's worth the $20.

Has anyone else played it?

I was looking for this a few days back, wasn't out here yet. I'll go and buy it later, it looks awesome.

*Oomph*

Got it this morning (it turns out the Credit Crunch is a good thing, cheap liquidated Wii points at Woolies!). Epic game. My corp tower stands at 27.6 metres, how is everyone else doing?

Reminds me of Katamari on the PS2.

It suddenly became the new addiction at my school.
A blast from the past? I think yes.

I bought it, and it is certainly worth the money, what with the hefty fifteen bucks and all, but I'm not as impressed as some of my fellow forumites seem to be. It seems more cute than fun... I can't get into it.

Really great game. I have beaten the first chapter on the demo and am in the process of buying the rest of the game. After watching the video again I realized I needed the game because all of the different types of goo's look awesome. Also those weird rolling ball things look interesting too.

Ooooh I cant wait.

So, I was browsing Facepunch, the other forum I visit, and I came across this. It's all the music in the game, and it was released by the creators for free. World of Goo OST.

And does anyone know how to ocd the last one?

and I also have a 32.5 meter world of goo memorial tower. Bam.

EDIT::: ooh. 100th post. Yay.

Forgot to mention that I beat this about 3 weeks ago. One of the best games I have ever played. I was so dissapointed when the game ended, especially since the last world had only 3 levels. :[

technically it had 4. Although theres a major glitch on the last level.
vague spoilerrrr

attach all the things to the top thingy except for one.
Hole the last thingy with your mouse/cursor thingy and bob it up and down in the water on the right side of the big thingy
the thingy that the other thingies are attached to should begin to float away on its own and also glitch it.
the big thingy will NOT rise slowly like always, and will POP up at an angle.
After the thingy that the thingies were attached to begins floating away, you can stop bobbing, and attach the last thingy to the thingy.

Tell me if that's too vague.

World of Goo is currently only $5 on Steam! I assume this 75% off deal runs until Sunday, but if you haven't gotten it yet, now's definitely the best time.

Bought this game once they had finally released it for Linux - I have to say it's pretty awesome. I'll be keeping a close eye on the next project these guys do!

I didn't enjoy it that much. I played through the demo, and while I found the graphics and music perfectly suited to the game, the gameplay was average. A game of a similar degree that I enjoyed more is http://fantasticcontraption.com/, which isn't as cute but requires more intelligent design than mouse dexterity, which I found an issue with World of Goo.

I downloaded that quite a while ago, but I only got around to listening to it a few weeks ago, and it convinced me to finally play this. Really awesome game - too bad it's so short (I beat it in three or four days, though I've still got a lot of OCD to get)...
I found a 3rd party tool called GooTool that supposedly allows you to do quite a lot of things, including adding custom levels. I've yet to try it, but it looks really cool.
