Really really brief description: Diablo 2.5

Longer description: Cell-shaded modern ARPG made by whole bunch of the guys behind Diablo and D2

I bought it on release (pre-ordered actually, it was $2 off on steam), and finally just beat it a couple days ago (not that it is a hugely long game, I just spread my time out a lot). It has ridiculous amounts of loot, monsters, and a randomized dungeon system. If you like Diablo, you'll probably like this game. Biggest difference is you get a pet from the outset that has its own inventory, and can take said inventory back to town at any point and sell it for you (no more TP scrolls just to sell off all the useless crap you collect), and your pet can also learn spells.

It is also pretty damn lightweight, even so far as having a 'netbook' setting, so your 4 year old desktop can run it. $20, available through nearly every digital distribution place you can think of, and they have the full editor out, so expect a bunch of mods over its life. Unfortunately single player only.

Last thing: my pet summons skeletons and is my party healer. wtf.

It's only $5 on steam today. I played the demo and decided it was worth purchasing the full game... 5 friggen dollars is all.

I've played Mythos which was made by all of the same guys, the only Diablo creator are the two heads of the company I think. Anyways, Mythos was a decently fun rpg and this looks that way too. It appears they're going to make a sequel that has multi-player.

I bought it because the specs aren't very demanding and it was only $5. Doesn't hurt that it seems to be a good game too ^-^
