Time for some completion. For those of you who are skilled enough to beat the secret Hell stage in Cave Story, I would like you to post your fastest runs to this thread. After you post them you will than be ranked among all of your fellow Metanet Gamers. I hope to get at least more 20 people people doing this. Also If you want you can post a picture and I will add it as a URL in your score. HAVE FUN! AND BEGIN!

With spur. I know snake is supposed to be the fastest way to do it, but It's hard to do.

I use the spur too. I like it better. Added too.

3:00-4:00. My mind is too scared from the experience for an exact time.
(please note that i have 6 save files all with different times, and i don't wanna go look through them for my time)

Quote, you shouldn't have to look through all your save files. The same time is saved on all of them, it's stored on a file called 290.rec, so unless you have multiples of that...

Easily improvable, but I'm terrible at Ballos's third form. He usually does three or four rotations before I can kill those damn eyes.

I also have a Minimal items one, but that was like.. 20 minutes.

Ballos' 3rd form takes me 1-2 rotations to kill...

I haven't even gotten to Hell...
I'm just past the encounter with Balrog in the Labyrinth on my second playthrough of the game. Before long, though, I'll probably be there. The game's so much easier the second time through...

With the Booster 2.0 / Rescuing Curly / Clock / anything else I can't remember that you need for a hell speedrun?

I finally got to Hell, and let's just say that the 2:33 video that I saw made it look way easier than it is. I can't even get past the first room yet. D:

What weapons do you guys use for your speed runs? I have the Spur, Bubbler, Fireball, Nemesis, and Super Missiles.

I use Snake, Super Missiles, and Nemesis.

If I could somehow get both the Blade and keep a weapon that doesn't matter if I get hit (ie Nemesis), then I'd do that, but the only other option would be Spur, S.Missiles, and Blade, and the snake is insanely useful for speedruns.

I just restarted to get the snake. Also PsychoSnail in the beginning use the big blocks of energy to power up your S.Rockets.

I finally got to Ballos once, and I got owned on the second stage. :(
I keep getting owned at the second room, too. I usually end up with about 20 health remaining. T.T

In the 2nd room, just fire and get out of there as fast as you can. Don't worry about killing the angels and collecting hearts - chances are you'll lose more damage than you'll recover.
