Discuss ideas, give details, talk about plots and stories, genres; anything.

Have fun!

For me I would create a composite game using the RPG as a hub for other games to go into like racing, first person shooters and platforms all as brilliant mini games on a level which make current games look meh. I want to make a game for my satisfaction that an imersive world I would say more but right now I am trying to program that game right now.

I totally just read that as, "I'd hate to be the only black guy stuck using v1.4."

A game based on Battleships Forever, except maybe with simplified controls and/or gameplay and multiplayer support. I might attempt that someday.

Either MMO Meteos, or MMO Pokemon Puzzle League where Pokemon choice actually changes things.

And while we're on the topic, Pokemon Snap Wii.

Pokemon Snap Wii is an extremely genius idea.

a reverse L4D. you start the game playing as the first to be infected and go thru the game spreading the infection. map will be huge and all free roam, and viewing the map will also show you where the infection has spread and where you need to spread it further. as you progress infected areas will change slowly, and anything you interact with in the environment (say a truck driver swerves to miss you and crashes into a gas station, anything destroyed by that explosion stays that way) will stay changed through out the game. also vines and other natural changes will occur as the game days pass.

a fps war mmo. armor/weapon upgrades, skills, deathmatch servers hosted in the main game via training booths/teleporters to 'servers'. huge free roam planet sized map (sectioned for load time). tons of classes including sword skill classes that are strong enough to counter common gun based classes (assassin vs sniper = who knows? he can block bullets!!)

...yeah.

I had loads of game ideas years ago which I have since forgotten. I know one of them was for a hybrid RTS/FPS game.

Love it! though Stubbs the Zombie did this already, they failed miserably. not sure. it was messed up on ATI or Nvidia Graphics cards- not sure which, and the xbox version, whilst it was based on the original Halo engine, it was buggy as hell, if I remember rightly.

FPS football game.

THE BIG LIFE GAME WHERE YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING. LIKE GTA, BUT YOU CAN ACTUALLY GO AND SEARCH EVERYTHING AND RAPE.

More seriously, a stunning looking 2D platformer, with guns and levels for them, n-like physics except you go around worlds and your mission is to find Earth, the other world with life in the Universe. Teleportation, love, betrayals and lots of political wars and gangs, who will try to stop you from finding Earth, a thing that they think will lead to the total acknowledgment of the Universe and then all the beings will fall into deep depression cause they don't have goals anymore, and decide on a big, big debate to plant a big-enough bomb to create a fucking Big Bang. Scientists ensure that the Big Bang will create a universe where there will be one planet where life will be possible.

"We're not alone"

Also, I was making it up as I was writing, I never really thought about a game like this. But sounds awesome.

Basically just an upgraded Phantasy Star Online with a well-done online interface and about 30 more dungeons with a max level cap of like 10000. I'd be happy with that game for the rest of forever.

Anyone here ever played Mirrors Edge? Yeah, like that, 'cept you play as a mix of Damien Walters and Altair, with a fuckton of guns and other weapons, including (but not limited to) swords, knives, brass knuckles, and just about everything. You can interact with everything, pick up almost anything, and use it against you enemies. All this is done from a first person view, coupled with amazing acrobatics.

Just look up Mirrors Edge on YouTube and put it on steroids.
