So, this is basically a placeholder for the game. I'll add stuff to this whenever, Luminaflare might do the same. If you don't know what the game is, I'll tell you in 4 words. eighty-seven bazillion guns. So, yeah, that's all I can say, I've been waiting for this game for 2 years.

Borderlands

This is all I'm putting in here for now. oh, that, and.

It looks OK. I think it is best described as the lovechild of Fallout 3 and Diablo.

It looks more like Fallout 3 with better support for companions. The only thing reminiscent of Diablo in particular is the appearance of the skills.
Or are there actually lots of demons in this game? Did I not look at enough screenshots?

Now that I see this topic, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned it here before.

It looks really nice, and I have high expectations for it. I'm especially interested in how the procedural generation system will turn out (apparently not only the weapons are randomly generated, the enemies and the world to some extent are also generated).

From what I have read it has a randomised loot system (by which I mean the equipment itself has random attributes, not that you get random bits of gear from a selection), a similar class / skill tree arrangement, and online co-op. Seems like a vaguely Diabloish direction to me...

Here, have some videos. Also, is it really a bad thing that it's slightly Diabloish? Because, as we all know, Diablo was a fucking amazing game, so when you combine that with Fallout 3, technically, you'd get one of the most badass games ever. Also, I can't wait till Tuesday so I can pick up my pre-ordered copy.

30 Minute Co-Op gameplay video.
Start of the game.
Slightly past the beginning, but on a different character (Roland) And MIRV Grenades.
Inside a cave, lots of Skags, amazing weapons.

Also, in the meantime, add Novaspartan18 to your friend's list on Xbox Live. Also, those videos might spoil the game, and the first one says that most of the guns you'll find may not be worth keeping or something, and you can't upgrade them. But personally, I don't care, as I love to collect things. So it'll be amazing for me.

Oh, no, I never said it was a bad thing. I quite liked Diablo, so I'm not complainin'.

So, the game isn't out yet.... but hey look. They're working on some DLC already, and it looks awesome.

wow cant believe your going to reject this game just because its cell shaded? it looks great and i preordered it lol - TacoMan197 (23 hours ago)
I don't think I'll get it. I don't have the money to buy many games, so I have to be more selective. This doesn't excite me enough to warrant sixty dollars. No thanks.

It looks awesome but I play games on my dad's computer which is getting a bit old now, it's getting to the point where it can't play recent games anymore :(

this game is kickass and i am very pleased with what Gearbox has done. This game is pretty fun alone but with a couple buddies it just becomes incredible. I also love seeing all the witty one-liners and things tucked away in the dialogue, the quests, the challenges, the guns, and the environment. Also pleased about the DLC that is planned :3

A+ from me.

Got my level 35 Soldier lookin' neat and pretty, with a rapid fire shotty that makes Duke Nukem weep silently in a pool of his useless filth.

Excellent game. Lot of replay value. Great for online, except for the obnoxious microphone settings*. *bring headphones
