If you steam users haven't already seen it from the steam update news, Gamespot is hosting an All Time Greatest Video Game Character contest, and Valve wants us to vote for Gordon Freeman. He's up against some pretty tough opponents though, such as Link and Mario.
I'm not telling you to vote for the Free Man, I'm asking you for your opinions. Although you could also tell us who you vote/will vote for while you're at it.

I've been trying to find the original picture and text but I can't find it anywhere, I've tried steam news, google, everything. As far as I know it's only popped up once and after I closed it I didn't know how to get it up again. If anyone can someone get a link to the original, I'd appreciate it.

Also, Gordon seems to be beating Link by a little less than 13% at the time of post.

That einstein-esque scientist in the original half life was the best. I would kill every other scientist and guard,except for the einstein ones. At one point I had a squad of them following me... then I left them for a bit, and they met an unfortunate end, courtesy of some zombies.

So yeah... either the einstein scientist, or "GENERIC NAZI 57" from COD2.

If you're talking about the Greatest Video Game Character poll, fuck Gordon ten times over. There's no way in hell he would win over Solid Snake. Also screw Duke Nukem.

I'm appalled by your behavior young man, you should be ashamed of yourself. Everyone.. EVERYONE, knows that Duke Nukem trumps Solid Snake. Also, consider yourself crowbarred.

Although The Freeman may not be the top, you'd pick Snake over him? You need a crowbar to the face.

I've been voting freeman down since he trumped Solid Snake. Fucking bullshit for anybody who knows anything about... character?

The only reason Gordon is winning is because the Steam forums made an announcement asking everyone to vote for Gordon.

Since EP3 is delayed once again, I voted for Link.

Then again, who uses Gamespot anyway?

i would vote for the freeman if he said SOMETHING once and a fucking while. dude doesnt say boo, not even when people are getting mauled right in front of him... that just makes him a generic mute hero that we see all the damn time, sometimes in fancy bio suits, sometimes in deep space armor, and almost all the times in fatigues.

my vote is for duke nukem, and to hell with serious sam.
