You owe it to yourself to buy this great game. Another solid exclusive title for the PS3.
In case anyone wants to see actual gameplay footage (stylized, of course, but it's all in game), then look here:
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/beaut ... 9?type=flv
That was obviously done before the game was released, but nothing is really different. You can do everything in that video.

Though, enemy artificial intelligence is quite cool.

Try RS5, Capcom did a pretty good job this time. Except that you get hit while changing your ammo. :/Awesome67 wrote:Uncharted is epic.

Maybe so, but overall inFamous has gotten better reviews. From what I've read, most gaming sites say Prototype has a so-so story, looks ugly (not just graphically, too much distance fog makes getting collectibles difficult) and gets repetitive within the first 4 hours due to boring mission design.kai wrote:Prototype looks more badass.

The guy is the virus with Alex mercer's memories being the first memories it had therefore most prominent and he gets all angsty about it for a bit. Then chops up some more dudes.
Anyways just got inFamous, going to play it now.

Oh, well the PC version would obviously have better draw distance and the like.
I would like to play Prototype but I think I'll wait until it becomes a budget title. To me it doesn't seem worth the full price. Same as Heavenly Sword and Wet, which I have played the demo of.
Uncharted 2, on the other hand... day one purchase.

and thats what you get for listening to reviews. i take game reviews like i do movie reviews: as crap opinions. for starters, i own prototype, i love that game, and it took 2 months for it to get repetitious (keep in mind i change games more often then i change my own underwear, so i think crysis wars stole my attention away from prototype... otherwise id still be massacring crowds upon crowds of people ;p) and this is after i beat it twice. secondly, all infamous has in attacks is lightning, lightning, and more lightning. while alex mercer has tentacle blade whips, arm swords, shields, huge fists, freddy hands, tentacle explosions, ground spikes, and shape shifting. and what fog? i can stand on the tallest building and see collectibles from across the entire city!!Twistkill wrote:Maybe so, but overall inFamous has gotten better reviews. and as for crappy graphics well, tell me another game where you slice someone open and watch the individual organs slide out and decorate the sidewalk.
another thing i havnt heard anyone talk about is the story and i admit ive heard some nasty things said about that in other forums, how its confusing and poorly put together and how you cant even tell whats going on.
bull. even if you missed all the points of interest, the main mission story unveils the gist of what happened to alex mercer and new york, while the points of interest are really just there (IMO) to feel the gravity of the story already presented thru the main mission story line.
lemme just put it this way, in one video i saw the main character for infamous shock a enemy in a sewerline, then save a citizen around the corner having a heart attack with the same move he used to kill said baddie. first of all, wtf is that dude in his nice sweater doing having a heart attack in the f***ing sewer?!! secondly, this is just another example that this guys is raidens brother or something. kill someone? lightning attack. save someone? lightning attack.
so have you played prototype? or are you just going on the reviews. cause ive played this game and dont know what the hell these people are talking about.
... i will say this. infamous does look sexy, but theres no way in hell im buying a ps3 just for that. no dlc? frequent crashes and bugs? 300 f***ing dollars? not even killzone 2 is worth that headache.
EDIT:
uhhh, actually, its better on the console, unless you got a badass pc or alienware. i played it on the pc, but found when a console could handle the graphics better then my pc and not drop in frame rate when it comes to those crowded infected fights at street level. what are your specs LF?Twistkill wrote:Oh, well the PC version would obviously have better draw distance and the like.

Guys, fanboyism, keep it down.
Just beat (Well about 3 hours ago) infamous (evil from first choice to end) and I must say it's fucking awesome, you can definitely see sucker punches previous experience with sly racoon (3 awesome games) working. There is enough vary in the attacks to keep it fun (apart from grenades/missile thing they seem pretty same). Eitherway story is much better but prototype is more "fun" based. Going to play red faction guerilla now any ways.

huh? i really hope that isnt directed at me...Ackmest Dansam wrote:Guys, fanboyism, keep it down.
im just voicing my opinion on video game ratings, nothing to do with my likes or dislikes for any game. sometimes i feel game raters wouldnt know a good game if it hit em in the face, and there crap assumptions also affect my wallet with i trade games. pay 50 bucks for a game, play it for a month, return it for one dollar.
ONE F***ING DOLLAR.
for what its worth, infamous probably is better with graphics seeing as its played in a smaller world then prototype and its gameplay seems a bit more linear. while prototype gets a gold star in the dicking around category.\
...what the hell does fanboyism even mean?
