So some of you may know about, or possibly already have played Siege, but I wanted to bring it out to the public formally and let everyone in on the action.

First, our first set is (99%) done! That means we've gone through testing and and more testing and more testing and we're to a point we everyone involved is very happy with were the set it is at. There are going to be some templating revisions possibly, but more than likely nothing that will affect the intended functionality of cards in the set. This is a big step for us and I'm thankful to everyone who helped test (Kablizzy, Jiggerjaw, blue_tetris, SlappyMcGee, and I feel like i'm forgetting someone from this forum has been particularly helpful).

That said, with Siege I really believe in free to play options, so I'm releasing the first set as a Lackey CCG plugin for download. You can get lackey and all the info you need how to use the plugin from www.LackeyCCG.com. We use Lackey for it's extendability and relative ease of use. So I'm personally thankful to Trevor for his work over there.

Now set 1 does not have art yet, so that's a beast we're working on slaying, but right now we are sans art. The frames were done by myself with textures provided from Deviant Art. Pichoro at the Magic Set Editor forums lovingly did the bulk of the templating work, so he's deserving of much praise in that regard.

The rules for the game are all sorts of brand new as well and can be found at siege.wikidot.com. At that site you will also find a link to a quick start guide that we have been using to get players into the game in ten minutes. It contains everything you should need to know for your first few games, and if you need more information you can also reference the complete rule book, which we are updating frequently to get into a finished form.

Now I would love feedback or comments but I want to preface that request with the fact that I do plan on publishing this game for profit, and if you don't want to provide support for that I'm completely understanding of that. I'm making this thread to let you know of the free to play option I'm providing through lackeyccg and mse.

With all that said below is a link to the plugin you will need. I'm here all the time so if you want to set up a game, my currently unemployed self is almost always willing!

Thanks guys for your time, and I really hope you all enjoy the game!

Siege Plugin (Contains Set 1)

PS If you want to contact me via yahoo IM my handle is b.phillips907 so feel free to hit me up there. Also there is a contact option at the rules wiki, or I'm usually in irc.

I'll also be more than willing to teach people the game and play games with everyone - I'll be doing tutorials sometime early next week, and hopefully, we'll get you guys involved, interested, and initiated!

Thanks to everyone for their support of the game thusfar - We've had an outstanding response, so we're happy to bring this to you guys here first!

Thanks,
-Blizz

How do I 'install' Siege to Lackey? I've never heard of Lackey before now, so I have no previous experience.

Bionic you need to download lackey and unzip it. The program doesn't require an install. Once it's unzipped you download the siege plugin from above and unzip it. It contains a folder called "Siege' Which you will need to copy to .../lackeyccg/plugins/

When you copy it there open lackey, go to preferences, plugin, brows for siege and load plugin.

Tada!

If you need help, any of the above listed tested can help you set it up it takes maybe 5 minutes.

I just played my first game with maximo. We didn't quite finish it, but I now know most of the rules. It's pretty simple to learn, and very fun! You guys should try playing a game.
