It's funny that you'd mention classic titles returning and not highlight the trailers for Metroid: Other M, Super Mario Galaxy 2, or the gameplay video of New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Either way, you forgot the trailer to a game I've been anticipating for the past three years.

The fact that it isn't named "Trico, the man-eating erne" in America means the game will only be the most amazing game ever, and not asjakjfjlajfljlalfajflajf.
EDIT: Also, as it will likely be PS3 exclusive, any of my friends who want to borrow the old PS3 when it comes out can pay for shipping and it'll be theirs for two weeks.
EDIT EDIT: By "friends", I mean Yahoozy and Tanner.

Metroid: Other M
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
New Super Mario Brothers
Golden Sun DS
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Personally i am a huge fan of Metroid and the Mario & Luigi games, but i'd love to hear what you guys think. (and see some more trailers for stuff)
Of course, any other games for any of the other consoles are also acceptable in this thread. why wouldn't they be? :D

Severe lack of Super Mario Galaxy 2 in that post.

I believe there's also talk of the next Zelda game... Being more mature than any other Zelda game yet.
It's supposed to fully use the new motion plus.

I can't wait to get my hands on all of these. Except Golden Sun. It looks good, but I've never played any of the others.

Golden Sun is the bomb. Unless you avidly detest all RPGs, odds are you'll enjoy it. It's left the most lasting impression on me out of any other game in the genre I've played, so it's definitely worth looking into if you've never played them, especially now that another one is on the way.
Also
Crystal Bearers. Not sure how I feel about the English dubs, but there's nothing that can be done about that. I'm still looking forward to it.
And how could you forget
Muramasa?

Eh, metroids just going south. It's more of 'Hey samus! Do this! Can you help me?' I like it when it's just '{silence}' and you can just read the lore if you want story. Lame. Also, both mario's look like it's concentrated at shticks instead of gameplay, but that turned out pretty well with Galaxy 1. As for golden Sun, The graphics look awesome, as do the summons. Ah, my good friend Eclipse... (Giant dragon, first summon in the video?)
EDIT: Didn't see Bowser's Inside Story. I want it, I've been die hard for that series. THE MUSTARD OF YOUR DOOM!!

What's that, Slippy? You want me to get that Metroid off you?

that game is looking really seriously kickass - it also is making me want to track down Odin Sphere for the PS2. I just love the art style.

Ugh at Metroid. Ugly looking thing.
No more JRPGs for me either, plus I never got on with the GS series. Lacked the flair of FF and the imagination of others.
New SMB Wii however I think I might need.

Really?
The overall style looks really shoddy and blocky, very unsatisfying to watch. I know it's an early trailer, but I got absolutely no thrill from the thing at all. I'm not a huge fan of 3d Metroid anyway so I guess that might be it.
Reminds me of Brawl on Wii where the overall presentation really kicked the game into the ground for me.

Hmmm. I think I might just be erectioning over the way Metroid ISN'T an FPS but is next-gen-y.

I'm just bored of all these generic offshoots and rehashes. NSMB: Wii looks like a lark with four players, but Metroid just looks old hat already and it's only an early trailer.
I'm craving something fresh and stylish. The World Ends With You was one of my recent favourites in that regard, you should ALL try it if you own a DS. It's a massively unique take on the RPG genre, well realised and very artistic visuals, a wonderful dual screen combat based on keeping up a flow by passing a puck of light between characters, a stats system based around the fashions your characters wear (your work in battle influences the fashion of the district you're in, giving you bonuses depending on the brands of clothing you're wearing), a great original soundtrack, etc...
Things like that.
Less Sonic The Hedgehog Super Devil Knights with Power Swords Adventures.

Although I don't agree with most of what he said, all of you should go get that game.

I think that Metroid is something entirely new, though. Now, I know the devs said it was going to be more like Fusion in linearity, but here's the thing. Even with Fusion it was relatively fun to explore areas and it was still challenging to find extra health pods and missile packs. And while a 3D platformer where heavy exploration is encouraged doesn't seem like too much of a leap, this game also incorporates Ninja Gaiden style action sequences (Logically, since Team Ninja's making it. :/) and first person elements. It also blends FPS elements into it that we know and love from Corruption. Combine all of this with motion controls? You either have a horrible game or a revolutionary one, and my money's that Nintendo is probably not going to be doing horrible games any time soon.
