We already have a Spore Thread in the old forums that is full of people talking about Spore. Wait until it is ported over, or go talk about Spore there. Although at this point is sounds like you don't have much to say about it anyway...

Ice Climbers are awesome. Deal with it.

I found Spore incredibly disappointing.

Boo! It's awesome. AND, it's nearly infinitely replayable. Don't be such a sourpuss because it's not hardcore enough for you.Luminaflare wrote:I found Spore incredibly disappointing.

Not enough, *truly* varied gameplay. Good on the whole though.

I actually agree with this, as, the game was intended on being much more complex than what it came out to be. Also, don't call me a sourpuss for not enjoying it. Everyone has their likes and dislikes, so don't call them out for it. Also, LF found it dissapointing, he never said he hated it.Luminaflare wrote:I found Spore incredibly disappointing.

Meh, I've just heard a lot of people complain that each individual section is just a watered down version of another game. That's what I meant by saying "it's not hardcore enough."
I guess I just like it for what it is. LF, you have my permission to dislike it for what it isn't.

I like the creature stage the best. To me the creation of creatures is the best part of the game. I lost interest once I got to the tribal stage.

Is it worth buying? I've been debating whether I should get it or not, because it sounds pretty good. :/
<smartalco> man, you have just been accelerated to a whole new level of awesome, raven

Not sure if it's worth a purchase but it's at least worth playing a friends copy or something. To be honest I'd prefer to rent it but you can't with PC games and it has bad DRM as well.

The tribal age sucks. It's worth fighting through to get to the space age though.Condog wrote:I like the creature stage the best. To me the creation of creatures is the best part of the game. I lost interest once I got to the tribal stage.

what about cell stage? it's fun! eating other little guys and seeing them running from you (if you are a carnivore, like me)... but I wanted to eat those big ones that you can see in the background.
I found the creature stage too short, as I think it should have been a little more complex.
The tribal age sucks.
The Civilization Age isn't that bad. You get to create your own cars and buildings!
The Space Age is GREAT. The complexity that the others stages don't have, the space stage has it.

I liked the game, not enough to buy it... I like the idea for the game the had as you pretty much exponentially went through the stages of creature. Yes the Creature stage was the best, i liked flying over a nest & then dominating them as much as possible... but yeah. It basically goes from a pac-man like game, to an rpg (WoW) type game to a command & conquer, & then you fly around the galaxy forever for the most repetitive part of the game.. Grox, pirates, ecodisasters, wars, trading... Over and over again... It does get tiring.. Right now ive literally own half the galaxy, like 50000 systems or something crazy on one of the saved games...

Yeah, you can't mention anything even remotely involved with that kind of stuff, it's in the forum rules.
I haven't played Spore, but I've heard that it's good. Is it worth the 90$?
Yep, it costs that much here in Bermuda.

I was also very, very disappointed. Worst $60 I've spent, and I've spent $60 on *absolutely nothing* before.
