in simple terms- cheap, but alienware quality... at least 1 TB of hard drive space, up to 16 gigs of RAM, Great videocard & sound card... So yeah $1600 for the same thing you could get stock for $4000 elsewhere.

Its a 17" Widescreen HP Pavillion dv6000 with 2 GB of RAM and 250 GB of Hard Drive. Its got Windows Vista (which is better than everyone thinks, Office 2007 is the real evil ;P) and an Nvidia graphics card, 8400GS or something.

Meanwhile, I have a Logitech VX Revolution Mouse with 7 buttons, most useful :)

Errr, no it doesn't? It is just the dual core version of mine, basically I have two of his processors in my processor

xeronix is the only guy who has listed a CPU better then mine, but his computer doesn't actually exist yet... so I still win :D
speaking of, @xeronix: I would cut that down to like 4gb of RAM for now and step the 4850 up to a 4870, if that is supposed to be a gaming computer you will see much more benefit out of a better GPU then you will more RAM (most games use a max of 3gb)

I really need someone to recommend me a PC that can play Trackmania in something other then Quickest mode graphics, 640x480, with nothing else running, whilst offline. Hell, anything that can run a music program, the net, and MSN at once would be alright! :P

Well, my DOS PC's processor died.
It was a 700MHz PIII underclocked to 466MHz with 256mb RAM, DOS 6.22/Windows 3.11, 1GB hard drive, (1994) 8.5GB hard drive, (1998), 8mb ATI video, (1998), Soundblaster 16 ISA, (1995), and a Thomas Conrad Token Ring adapter (1989). :(

I was thinking of doing that, going with a 4870, i still may get one eventually, and there is nothing out in the market (now) that will even come close to using 16 gigs of ram... Overkill, just as much as the 4 gig LAN... And as i said newegg.com it the place to get things cheap & good quality if you plan to build... & i do have the processor/cpu & mother board, just not the videocard, soundcard and other little random tid-bits.. It will turn on with flashy lights, but for now thats about it...
