Ok, seems to be full now. Can you add a reserve for me please, Calcy? I'll definitely use it more if it stays full in my gaming hours.

I had to wait as well, and I'm paying for the damn thing.
Should be fixed, soon.

Just an idea:
Should the people in the Metanet group be able to put [Meta] as a tag for their in-game names? Something like a clan. I just think it'd be unique and would set us apart from just being a -group- since we have a server and all.

I won't be doing it, and I won't enforce it or anything, but I think it could be pretty cool.

After receiving the Kritzkreig, The Blutsauger, 3 Sandviches, 2 Bonks, and Natascha, I FINALLY... FUCKING FINALLY, got the Cloak and Dagger. Either way, Amazing weapon.

I've only gotten the Huntsman so far. As soon as I got it, I equipped it, walked outside, and, from across the field, pinned a spy that was about to backstab someone. I felt like such the badass.

Guys, you need to find the ID number that corresponds to your account, like Techno and Chris Brown did (you two are added). I'm not sure how to go about finding it though.

Also, Yahoozy, I already have yours.

To find your Steam ID, join in a game, open console with ~ and then type "status" without the quotation marks. Look for your name on the players list and there should be your Steam ID next to it.

There's an alternative way by digging through your Steam file (different for each account) in Notepad. I did it the first way, which was really quick.

Mmmkay. Just a suggestion. I might put [Meta] in front of my name just for the hell of it. I mean, [Meta] Techno sounds awesome. :D:D

Steam ID: 0:1:20950734

In case others need to find it:
While in-game open the console using the ~ key and type status in the console.

Or:

Locate your steam directory on your hard drive, usually C:\Program Files\Steam -- find steam.log file and open it with notepad. Look for lines such as: Found existing connection 9,216.228.115.67:27030 for 0:0:8888. The last few numbers is your steam id, ie: 0:0:8888.

Well, after 10 hours, I finally got the Cloak and Dagger. I can't really see myself playing as anything but a spy ever again.
But I thought the Huntsman was a disappointment. All of the weapons that fire bullets hit instantly even though the animation takes time to get to the spot you hit, which throws me a bit when I'm using the Huntsman; I don't know how much I should lead my target, if at all.

So, I finally got my Steam ID, and if you don't mind, my friend Jacob, A.K.A. Stasho, Pancakelad, Jacklanister, want to also have a reserved slot, and he plays TF2 ALOT, do don't worry about that.

Played for about an hour last night, first item I get, Huntsman :D :D :D :D. (it was late by the time I got it, so I have only taken a dozen shots with it, I shall decide how much I love it today)

Hey Calcy, I don't think that reserved slot thing is workin' right. I still have to wait when the server is full.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to mention this:

If the server's full, you can't use the server browser to connect to the server, because it simply checks if the number of people currently inside is less than the total number of slots. Instead, open console and type "connect 8.2.121.154:27015".

I edited your first post to include this info, Slappy.

Odd. The server was full twice today and I joined with ease. Different for admins?

Played with the Huntsman some today. Still trying to decide if I like it, as the up-front play style it kinda requires isn't like how I normally play in away. It is definitely entertaining if I'm not paying attention to the score board though.
Got the Ambassador too, but as I despise the spy, it probably won't get used :P

Speaking of the Huntsman, I finally got it after sitting in an idle server (Yes, I sank that low) and I don't regret it. I love the damned thing, ever since I've gotten it, all I've been getting are headshots, and people are starting to despise me.

Seriously? I just can't get used to the darned thing. Do you have to lead your shots, or what?

Well, yes. They're projectiles, so you have to lead them just like other projectiles (rockets, needles, nades, etc..). Predicting your shots can be a little offputting at first, but if you play with it enough they'll start coming more naturally. They did for me, at least.

It's GREAT for CQC and mid-range, but nest to useless for anything moving fast at long.

The biggest tip I can give is that you don't always have to pull the string back, for close to mid you can just tap m1 and let off a weaker, but still accurate at that range, shot. If you hold it down too long, you'll notice the Sniper's hand starts to shake, if you let this happen, the shot will fly wild.

Mmkay.
So it's pretty much useless for sniper fights unless you can guess when they're going to pop out?

Long distance yes, mid distance depends (but probably yes), close quarters no. Sniper Vs. Sniper the Rifles going to come out on top most times.

As best as I can tell, the damage is actually inflicted slightly before the arrow (and its streak) gets there. At the range roughly the length of the tunnel on Badwater, I've got headshots that show up in the top right about half a second before the arrow animation actually seems to reach the person.

So far, I have found the best time to use this is in the midst of an already chaotic battle. I was playing as defense on the last map of Goldrush, at the last choke point; both teams were basically running to that spot and annihilating each other, I just found a spot slightly out of the action and just kept letting arrows fly in the general direction of the other team. Didn't get as many kills as I would have liked, but I heard the sound of my arrows hitting quite often.

Last question, has anyone figured out what exactly the fire arrows do? (I still haven't figured out how to regularly make them, I think its just if a pyro flame gets close to you, or an explosion happens nearby)
