I totally just read that as, "I'd hate to be the only black guy stuck using v1.4."

I play Halo 3, which is in first person. You only ever switch to 3rd person when you're holding a turret. And dear god it's useful to know that someone's crouch-walking up to you with an energy sword.

In fact, I daresay I'd rather have a 3rd person view in Halo than a motion tracker for some situations.

And Veichles. Halo Veichles, in first person, just wouldn't work. Imagine driving an Elephant or Scorpion in first person...

Like mirrors edge, though not as snazzy.

And third person cameras are great. GoW pulled it off, both of them by the way, Kingdom Hearts, Splinter Ceel, Assassins creed, and a boatload of ther ones.

First-Person cameras are relatively new, in the modern sense. I know, there were games like Half-Life, but, unfortunatly, that's the only one that comes to mind. off the top of my head.

In shooters though? I somewhat agree. I'd rather bring up the sights on my gun, instead of zoom in on a reticule.

8 year olds have taxes to file and mortgages to pay. 15 year olds can take it easy and talk about gaming, because they don't have as many responsibilities.

Speaking of tomb raider, the camera work in those games was really good. The leader in the field, I daresay.

And so... That equates to an F how? I'm sure in an exam a question would be better worded (except if it's being done by OCR (high brow joke that I only expect GTM to also understand)). That's like saying that the "Moor" in "Drathmoore" means that I live in a field. And I don't.

Anyways, look at Ratchet and Clank With the swarms of enemies, you'd be dead without. Also, Deadlocked kicked ass, and it had some killer online, even with 3rd person. Broaden your horizons and try some games that are outside popular cluture, because we all know only shnobs play Halo/GTA.

no offense, but the arguments in this thread are retarded

the game developers either make the game 1st person or 3rd person to make it funner, more accessible, or more artistically relevant. WHO CARES, GET USED TO IT.
