I can record matches via Hypercam for Youtube if anyone wants. Possibly record the whole tournament? Either for a reliable record, and the prevention of cheating (although I doubt the friendly users of the Metanet forums would do such a thing), or just so people can watch other peoples' matches
I've put a couple of test matches (me vs. GTM) on Youtube as a sort of basis for the recording; I've registered it since so ignore the Unregistered Watermark at the top:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFN1eOfe ... re=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImVkNq5D ... re=channel
It's merely a suggestion.

Erm... he wasn't able to link the matches of my winning... yeah. Let's go with that.
Seriously, first time, and I had no idea about that kind of set up -_-

That's not my team. I'm not exactly planning on showing everyone my team before the tournament so everyone can take me down easily.natures_peril wrote:drathmoore

@First Video
...
GTM got owned!
That's the exact tactic I used to use...
Damn I wish I could compete in this...
I'll keep trying, but I doubt it'll work. Apprently I need a microsoft programme which is ridiculously expensive, but there might be another way. I'll see.

Hey, put me in this!
Also, are Pokemon like Hippopotas and Snover ruled out? They aren't Ubers, but in Standard play, they are ruled out.
Normal Latias isn't Uber, but Soul Dew Latias is.

Well, Soul Dew Latias of course, as Soul Dew in it's own right is banned from standard play. However, I haven't seen anything about Hippopotas and Snover being ruled out. In fact, a lot of people use Hippowdon and Abomasnow a lot within teams, so I doubt their pre-evolved forms are banned. Why would they be?MyCheezKilledYours wrote:Hey, put me in this!

Hopefully this can be taken care of soon: Whenever I try to use Netbattle, it says I've been banned from the pmnb server. I haven't done anything to warrant a ban, so I'm thinking it's some kind of error.

I built a team that's getting me some wins. ^^
Maybe we should do something like add (MN) to the end of our username to help identify who's who.

I'd like to have around 16 people for the tournament. And if the three people who signed up as maybes could confirm their status, that'd be much appreciated.
Signups will close in three or four more days. I'd like to get started sometime next week.

I will enjoy this. I don't expect to get very far, but I'd say that I'm fairly decent.

Ooh, tough guy. I'll give you (or anyone else) a friendly on shoddybattle if you want, as a warm up. From looking at drathmoore's videos, I think shoddybattle is quicker but netbattle seems more user-friendly. Just pm me if you want a match on shoddy.natures_peril wrote:cheesemonger, trust me you wold have had a tough time beating me

Is this still open to entries? My laptop is back, so now NetBattle should work! :)
