I never, never, NEVER imagined that Metaknight was seen as the best one.

Really, never imagined it. I, and the people who I play with, all say that he is bad, really bad. When I first picked him up, I thought "Oh, it's a really nice, fast character." I just needed 2 matches to clean that thought. I'll post later why (as my mom as taken my Wii, and I don't remember very well some stuff).

Oh, I just remembered he, together with Jiggs, are the least played characters on the statistics that Brawl does (oh gosh... I can't even remember what it's called in-game...) damn it. I really need to play SSBB.

Bah, Kirby rocks.

So did every body else. When the first came out people expected him to fall into low tier. But then they realized, oh no lag... oh great recovery... oh the tornado and upB are cheap. At first no one thought he had any kill moves but realized down smash is freaking cheap and fast.

Haha, I was playing him from day 1. My brother has become fairly good at countering my meta with diddy and snake, and I think with another discovery one of them could become a true counter (I already think diddy counters meta on FD)

The main reason people wanted to ban him is not because he was good (well, that contributed), but because he has no counters. The theory was that if the best way to beat meta is with meta himself, then everyone who has trouble with a meta will pick up meta, increasing the number of metas resulting in more people needing to learn meta, etc, etc.

i use Ike, Lucario, Lucas, Ness, Link, Samus, ROB, DDD, Ice Climber, Marth, Bowser, Luigi, Jigglypuff(only if playing on bridge of eldin), Meta Knight, Kirby, Fox, Wolf, Sonic and Cpt. Falcon. oh and Ganondorf.

First get a smash ball with jigglypuff.
Then wait for the pig thing to blow up the bridge.
When the bridge starts to rebuild jump in the middle of it and use the smash ball.
If done right jigglypuff should stay big and you can use all of her usual attacks at wumbo size.
The size of jigglypuff depends on the timing, if you get it right you can have her be the biggest possible.

You have to go to Bridge of Eldin with Jigglypuff. First, you get a Smash Ball. Wait until after the bridge explodes and the portal thing appears above the gap. Jump(fall) into the gap and do your special. Jigglypuff will grow while the gap closes. Finally, the gap will close on JIgglypuff and (s)he'll be stuck grown.

For extra, have Yoshi turn Jigglypuff into an egg while permanently grown. Jigglypuff will get even bigger, until only the feet are visible

i like using a varity of characters, and i sometimes don't even know wut character to use so i do random, and im also starting to use zelda/shiek, D.K., diddy, falco, pokemon trainer, snake and peach.(lol)

1. Also no lag to any moves. Plus I find upB twice as broken as the tornado.

3. I did to. Until I found out that he can inifinite chaingrab 6 people and regular changrab half the cast
4. Great recovery, fast powerful smashes, amazing aerials. Really easy to pick up.
11. What does that mean? Basically the banan peels make Diddy good.
21. Better at comboing, pieces of armor are very powerful, more effective kill moves.
24. Seriously nerfed from Melee, just not as good anymore.
33. Probably, I just dont like Sonic. :P
37. I totally agree. But only like one or two spaces...

Firstly, remember that tiers are for tournament-level play in 1v1 matches with no items, so unless you typically play like that, your mileage may vary.

Secondly, Falcon is poor in that kind of map because a lot of his moves are slow and short-ranged, with poor priority. This allows a skilled player to easily cancel or avoid his attacks. Also, his Up+B recovery is slow and rather predictable, which makes him easy to edgeguard. He's probably a bit better in 4-player free-for-all (or 2v2 with no friendly fire), because it's easier to hit people with the Falcon Punch or the Knee of Justice while they're fighting someone else. He's also pretty good at stealing kills in a brawl, because he can move quickly and has good power.

Samus is probably better than the others by virtue of being nigh indestructible. Not only is she one of the heaviest characters in the game, she has very good recovery. She also has a wide range of projectiles with which to annoy people. The reason she's so low is that her floatiness makes her easy to juggle, and she lacks power, making it difficult to get KOs.

I'd say my favorite characters are Lucas, Lucario, Luigi, and Dedede. The main reason I play both Lucas and Lucario is because I've gotten good at them, not for anything particular that they have to offer. I play Luigi because he can both stay in the air a while and do a number of rapid attacks while there.
As for Dedede, I think I like him mostly because of the feeling of satisfaction I get when I anticipate an enemy and nail them with a powerful attack. (I've had to get good at anticipation to play Brawl. Unlike Melee, you can't wait to see what the enemy does before deciding how to attack.)

Also, regarding the tier lists: while they may have most characters in the right general location, Brawl hasn't even been out for a year, and I doubt many people here play at a highly competitive level. In other words, don't worry too much about them.
