Man, I am digging this game. Everything that was great about the first, with a bunch more songs as well as the ability to import the early ones, and DLC is easier to access than ever.

Which brings me to my question,

Do any of you have PS3's and this game and want to form a Metanet band? I was just thinking how sweet that would be.

of course, if there's a 360 strong base, feel free to form a band independant of the Slapper.

Sadly, I don't have Rock Band 2 or any compatible console at home. I've only played it elsewhere.

If you were talking about GH:WT on the PS3 then I would have said yes...

If I can, i'll use my guitar hero world tour instruments on Rockband 2. The setlist looks awesome

Rock Band 2 is the new Guitar Hero 2. Sorry Guitar Hero 3, 4, Aerosmith, 80's, and Rock Band 1.
Entirely agreed.

So I could buy Rock Band 2 full set or GH:WT full set and just the disc of the other game?

That is what I initially in. Sadly, I disliked the interface for GH: WT and traded it in for some pad silencers and cymbals for my Rock Band 2 drum set.

Rockband 2 and GH:WT both have their benefits. GH:WT has improved graphics and Rockband 2 has DLC. They both have good playlists also.

I am only an owner of Rock Band, and sadly, for the Wii. Give it up for no online play!

I have to say this, mind you, while the appearances of the characters isn't as good in RB2, the presentation of the menus as well as I think just the general notes looks better. On our TV, at least.

Great news! Rock Band 2 for Wii will support GHWT controls! There was an article on IGN, but it was whipped down pretty quickly. Only this remains.

I am going to have to breakdown and get a few GH games for my new 360. I will own anyone and everyone, just a promise, so if anyone wants to play, I'm up for it anytime. I don't know when I'll be getting them, I just know I need to start playing again. I never quite 100%'ed Jordan and I've been wanting to get into the new songs for a while now, I hear there are Dream Theater and Protest the Hero songs!! God knows what other downloadables are now available.

Rockband is fun, but it's so goddamned expensive, I think it's good to limit the game to sunday nights at the bar and "that friends" house who has the set up. ;)
