So, I had an idea regarding the almost mandatory building tutorial. Also, this sounded fantastic in my head, but maybe not on "paper" so to speak.
Essentially, it's an addition to the mandatory building tutorial. Think of it as an exam; you have a few sections to do before you can play online. Maybe Building, Fighting, and tactics, or maybe even an "apply what you learned" thing. Now, you're scored at the end of the session out of 100% and you're graded on a few factors. Like, how efficient your things were, or how many times you died. And it would do this for all three. And even if you did shitty, you could go back to try to get a better score. After all that, you would have one final test, and you'd basically have to answer a few extremely simple questions, like what it takes to make a ladder or something (Probably too complex, but whatever). In the end, you would have a final grade, and of course a letter grade to accompany the percentage.
In the last little bit of all this, you would, of course, go to find a server. Server hosts could set a required grade to be able to join their server, with the default being maybe a %60 or something..so essentially a D. So, you could have your competitive servers who want the best of the best, or maybe 90% and above, and you'd have your practice servers for those who are still learning the ropes.
So yeah, sorry if that seems too damned complex, but I personally think it'd make the game a little more interesting in terms of people not breaking shit, and hell, you could even make it so that it ISN'T mandatory, but for you to actually join certain servers, you'd have to do the tutorial and get a grade of some sort. And maybe even pointers to help people if they get a lower grade.
