Best place to buy?

I finally decided to keep up with the times and grab myself a new game system, preferably a Playstation 3.
I was browsing around; they still sell new for 300.00 with nothing additional. *With the exception of a controller.* I didn't want to spend quite that much seeing as how games cost a lot now days. My question is: Does anyone know a place where you can buy game systems *if used then in good working quality* or new for a bit cheaper? If I buy used or refurbished, there isn't a warranty. That and that fact that I'm not sure on it's performance worries me. So, there you go. Answers would be great. I'm fine with buying it online as well as any store *If it's located near me*. Thanks in advance!

the store's in Australia, but it seems to be pretty cheap for a brand new wii.
