I think abortion should be legal for kids of up to 18 years.

Pro-choice.
I personally don't think that abortion is right, but if someone else does, and wants/needs one, then so be it.

If you can vote, you can't be aborted.

What do you mean by this? That kids that under 18 years old can have abortions, or that you can abort kids under 18?

If I haven't already added pro-lifers to my signature, I'm planning to.

What do you mean?

EDIT: Pro-choice for minors is pretty good for preventing teens' lives from being ruined by an accidental pregnancy, while still appeasing those pro-life radicals, I guess.

Well, I say we stop telling our kids that sex is necessary for happiness. :/

You have no idea what you're talking about, do you?

Anywho, I'm for more abortions as long as the total number of kids born goes down. I challenge anyone to make a reasonable objection to my position.

When did you become so miser-ly? I like your moxie, kid.

Once again, you fail to understand me scythe. Abstinence isn't something others tell you to follow, it's something you need to believe in. It's not so much a restriction as it is a lifestyle.

Oh, and by the way:

The only 100% guarenteed way to prevent an "accidental teen pregnancy" is not having sex. End of discussion.

I am very shaky on the issue, but I think that people who aren't really in a technically stable situation in their lives should have a right to do it. Yeah, what Blizz said. There should be a cut off point.

You mean like Scientology?

I understand you completely, and what I'm saying is: it doesn't work. It. Does. Not. Fucking. Work. You can't run around converting kids to your ridiculous, perverted ideology based on a combination of outright lies and misdirection, because they won't believe you. You would know that, if you read the articles I linked to.

I'm tired of people thinking that the only reason I disagree with what they're saying is because I misunderstand them. First heatwave, now you. I understand completely: your position is idiotic and impractical.

Also, Broghan: you obviously misinterpreted what Kablizzy said.

Really? I'm for people making up their own mind. Whether that means more abortions / less births or not doesn't concern me.

scythe, I didn't misinterpret at all. I was merely expanding my own opinions from what Blizz said. It may have come across as the opposite as I tend to trip myself up with bad sentence structure.

EDIT: Also, I really don't think that a law or any such thing be in place to allow abortions and cut off the options at a certain age, I just think that people should have enough sense at older ages to not become accidentally pregnant. I may be contradicting my previous post, but I tend to act on the forums and not think, hence why I don't post in the Debate section at all.

I think many people neglect to realize that abortion rights are at the core of womens' rights. It sounds far off, but when you really boil it down to the core conceptuals, that's what's left.

On the contrary, I'm pretty sure gay sex doesn't cause accidental pregnancies. Clearly we need to run a campaign in schools to educate teens on the many benefits of homosexuality.

Anyway, I am in favour of legalised abortion in the first trimester and in cases where birth poses a serious threat to the wellbeing of the woman.

I really agree with you on this point. It isn't too obvious to other people, apparently.

I'm really torn on this issue, but I'd probably have to go with pro-life. Unless it's dangerous for the mother, the baby has been seriously abused while in the womb (FAS, drugs, etc), or in the case of rape or incest.
