I think this test was a little biased. I know I'm not that libertarian.
On the test that Blizzy posted his picture, my dot was in about the same place.
That's it? That's the only reason you DON'T agree with democrats? That's sad. Although I must say, Obama is a bit rougher around the edges than a cat's tongue. So's McCain. That said, one might be wise to ask Dave what views the libertarians have.incluye wrote:I don't like Obama's abortion policy.
You'll want to read what I said in the "US Economy" topic. When you deregulate something which you previously regulated heavily, the market for that industry drops because the firms within that industry are not prepared for self-regulation. It's like keeping a cheetah indoors from birth. That cheetah becomes accustomed to capitivity and not having to get its own food and fend for itself. When you release said cheetah into the wild, it might not do so hot initially. Does this mean that cheetahs don't belong in the wild? Nope. It means the cheetah didn't belong in captivity to begin with.Zelda wrote:@Our favorite libertarian here (at least mine):
So what you're saying is that libertarians are for less government control over economics especially regarding the stock market? Last time I checked, it was the lack of government intervention and nonexistence of micromanaging limitations that killed the stock market. All well (not).
Yeah, pretty much.Zora_S_Kenneth wrote:That's it? That's the only reason you DON'T agree with democrats?incluye wrote:I don't like Obama's abortion policy.
It's Zora. First of all. I had to change it after some business on the IRC.blue_tetris wrote: You'll want to read what I said in the "US Economy" topic. What? I think a few of us here would appreciate if you defined "she" in every case, because you almost seem to contradict yourself several times here, unless there is something I don't understand. But aside from that, I partially agree with your point. Some people are afraid of being incorrect, as as such, will also attempt to disguise the fact that they will put their correctness about what's good for the people over what is really good for the people. Some people even changed what they believe in entirely to make themselves look like they know about what the people need. And then, some people make a blunder, the conformist fulfills his title, and the status of this country plummets. Only people with very few wits and no ability to admit it or the ability to see Russia from the front door of their house in Alaska would attempt to make themselves look better than they actually are.blue_tetris wrote:I was watching Sarah Palin take the question: "Do you think that abortion should be illegal in the case of rape?" It's a yes or no question. My answer is "no" and her answer is "yes". If asked, I would say "no". If asked, she should say "yes".
But instead, she said, "Well, first, I'd make sure to counsel the child to convince her to choose life." When asked again, more directly, she just repeated herself. There's this dialogue that doesn't take place because, I think, people fear that they're wrong. She said she'd counsel the child to "choose" life, which I think suggests she believes that the child would have a choice. So the answer would be "no". However, she didn't say "no". And she didn't say "yes".

I don't fully get what you're saying. I think you imagine I took a side different than what you figured I did, and then attacked that? Or... I dunno. I don't get it.Zora_S_Kenneth wrote:What? I don't really like either of the presidential candidates, though I would prefer Obama to McCain.I think being adherent to a single party is silly and counter-intuitive. I'll vote for the best man for the job, regardless of what side he's on.
He's not saying that it is. He said that someone younger is better in this instance because McCain is living in the past.xeronix wrote:& younger is not always better.
